A large portion of the site has been preserved as natural open space, and developed areas are defined by natural features of the topography to create distinct enclaves that surround the town center. The enclaves are connected by a network of forested trails to encourage walkability and non-vehicular circulation throughout the charming, small town character of Black Diamond.
